Phenomenal Carrara Marble Railing of Saint Paul and Peter with Angels Antique Furnishing
A truly one-of-a-kind, antique, hand-carved, white carrara marble railing from the 1800’s with some of the most intricate and detailed carvings ever crafted in art history. Seen in one of the main panels is Saint Paul as he holds the Sword of Truth, which is God’s word, and surrounded by heavenly angels with outstretched wings; in the other main panel is another masterfully carved image of Saint Peter who is holding onto the Keys of Heaven and Hell, and is also surrounded by a cloud of angelic witnesses. Many other high-end angelic carvings adorn this masterpiece in various locations throughout the railing, which are all connected together by yellow-gold marble segments.
