Phenominal 1800s Saint Michael with Angels Marble Altar Antique Furnishing
A breathtaking, hand-carved, antique, marble altar made around the turn of the century comprised of high-quality carrara marble and polished onyx that has clearly been carved by an expert craftsman. Adorning the reredos of this beautiful altar is Saint Michael the Archangel with outstretched wings and a deadly sword in-hand as he repels demons back to the fires of Hades while Christ, the Holy Spirit, and God the Father look down from above it all. Carved into the base is Christ the Redeemer blessing the little children as they are brought before Him. Numerous other intricacies can be seen within this masterpiece; it is truly a sight to behold in person. The side altars “ALTAR-2” and “ALTAR"-3” are the original matching side altars for this altar and are just as exceptional as this main altar itself.
